Annie at Greenwich next to the Clock |
We ended up having a very short weekend last week. Saturday we spent the day with the Senior Missionaries from our mission at Greenwich. A lot of you won't know what that is (so says Annie). Greenwich is where the standard beginning of time comes from all over the world. A common expression is Greenwich Mean Time. By the way, Greenwich is pronounce as gren ich where gren rhymes with hen and ich is like having the need to have your back scratched because it itches.

New Coat; Son's Fish & Chips |
Anyway, we had a great pub lunch with the couples and then saw a couple of museums and toured the time site area and saw an old sailing ship called the "Cutty Sark". If any of you are into ships you can do a google search on the "Cutty Sark".
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the week was the "bank" holiday that was on Monday. We got the day off as did most other businesses and Annie went shopping. She found a really nice jacket/rain coat. She really enjoys it and that's all it takes, sometimes, to make a happy companion. Of course there were the two blouses as well. Maybe that is all it takes. Oh well, there is another "bank" holiday coming at the end of May. Paul can hardly wait to see how much we can save on "deals" on the forthcoming holiday.

Swans - One Egg Short |
We thought that we would give you an update on the swans. There actually isn't one because they are still sitting on those eggs -- at least they were last weekend when we last saw them.

Bryton's Arm - Wow What a Curve |
|
Arrival in Germany |
Family-wise, our most notable family member prize goes to Bryton who broke his arm during the week. It must have been both bones, and although mother and father (Rachelle and Steve) wanted to stay in the room while the arm was reset, the Dr. was having nothing to do with their request. The Dr. said he had had too many close encounters of the worst kind with parents that yelled, passed out, etc. when their kids were having bones reset.
That's enough for this session, but we'll continue in just a short time with Germany -- and what a great experience it was.
Our love and best wishes to each of you (please know that we miss you soooo much)
